Wasteless, a startup helping to tackle food waste

Happy to report that Wasteless has been featured in the Silicon Republic’s “7 start-ups building technology to tackle food waste”. Tel Aviv based startup Wastless is an AI company who have developed dynamic pricing technology that helps supermarkets recapture the value of their perishable products ultimately reducing food waste.

Wasteless took part in L Marks’ programme with Iceland supermarket, the Iceland Innovation Lab. During the 10 weeks, Wastless were able to help Iceland calculate the optimal price of an item in real time which as the expiration date loomed it helped reduce food waste and optimised markdowns.

Since the Iceland Innovation Lab, Wastless have worked with Italian supermarket Iper and Dutch grocers Albert Heijn and Marqt introducing them to their smart price tags.
