Triple Point partners with L Marks to invest in early-stage technology companies

L Marks is pleased to announce that is has partnered with innovative fund manager Triple Point (TP) to identify early-stage technology companies suitable for investment by TP’s Venture Fund. Triple Point, which manages £174 million of VCT and EIS capital, is looking to deploy funds raised into its Venture Fund while following a distinct, challenge-led investment strategy. At the core of this strategy, Triple Point works with a wide and varied network of venture and innovation businesses, with the intention of identifying of the pressing issues faced by corporates today. Triple Point then, in conjunction with its venture network, supports and invests in the start-ups best positioned to solve identified, real-world corporate challenges.

L Marks will join with Triple Point as a Triple Point Venture Network partner. L Marks has created over fifty innovation labs globally and invested in thirty-eight early-stage companies. Through their unique corporate innovation programmes, where large organisations embed start-ups into their business to solve market and operational problems, we have deep insight into the problems facing corporates around the world today. Supported by a shared understanding of early-stage business, the Triple Point relationship will provide L Marks’s start-ups with faster access to value-add financial support than is traditionally available elsewhere.

Daniel Saunders, CEO of L Marks, commented:

“It gives us great pleasure to announce our partnership with Triple Point. L Marks has always been committed to driving continuous growth for the young companies that make up our start-up network. Joining the Triple Point Venture Network is an important milestone for our growth and, of course, that of the start-ups that we work with. It will broaden the scope of our role as an investor, while the start-ups that come through our innovation labs will benefit from a more varied approach to investment.”

Triple Point added:

“Triple Point is excited to welcome respected global corporate innovator L Marks to our Venture Network. Together, we look forward to providing support and capital for the most promising start-ups that participate in L Marks’ innovation programmes. Particularly exciting for us at Triple Point is the fact that these start-ups are all engaged in solving concrete corporate challenges, a key characteristic common to all our portfolio companies.”
